`MURALI MEETS MEERA` SONG SHOOT AT FILM CITY LAND!
Posted date: 16/October/2010

Although the Kannada film industry is not making use of the 350 acres land properly for developing a film city there are some producers who come to this huge flat land to capture chase, action and songs. The background greenery is so good and it is just 22 kilometers away from Bus and City railway station.

At such a lovely location meant for Film City (sanctioned during the Ramakrishna Hegde chief minister regime) ‘Murali Meets Meera’ a film by director turned producer Yogish Hunsur was shot for three days. One of the three days the media visited this place of shoot – on last Wednesday.

Murali was not dancing with Meera but his another lover in the film – Harshika Poonachcha. The Rajasthani style backdrop was created and eight children with turban around from a dance school had come with some elderly persons.

Producer Yogish Hunsur banking on the story strength of Mahesh Rao (Mageshkumar when Dheemaku was made) said the script was done two years ago has been very rightly used for the present scenario. The making is turning out to be easy but finding theatres for films is tough as already number of films are in the queue mentioned Yogish Hunsur.

Director Mahesh Kumar was looking for this kind of fresh location to shoot his song. He has shot for the talkie for 28 days mostly in the evening lights at Pubs and other locations. The heroine is ultra modern. She goes to the pub and asks for Vodka to drink. That is registered in the film and I don’t know what censor would say Mahesh wondered.

You would not see in the cinematic style the proceedings in the film. Everything will be casual and even the language used is also colloquial. There is only one song balance with Reema Vora and dubbing has been completed. I have shot only 32000 feet of film for 14000 feet of film shown in the theatres. Mahesh Rao is introducing a Mumbaite Avinash in this film. Avinash came here to sing the track but his rare voice that is a mixture of Sonu Nigam and Udit Narayan made me to use his voice for a film. That is the song Nee Naadehe…shot on Prajwal and Harshika Poonacha said the director.

The director of Dheemaku feels the film was good and wrong timing killed the prospects of the film. Vamshi, Buddivantha and Tajmahal were around when Dheemaku was released he stated.

This is an exceptional film in my career. The mood created by director Mahesh for this film is what I have liked very much in the two shades of roles I am doing said Prajwal Devaraj. Even respecting the lover while addressing is also good one said Prajwal. With Mahesh I am working for ‘Bhadra’ in N Kumar production. Bhadra is a remake of Telugu film Ranam. That is incidentally the first remake for director Mahesh Rao and actor Prajwal Devaraj.

Jai Anand (He is Jayamma Anand- Jayamma is his mother) is independent cameraman. 12 films he worked with HC Venu. In the available light in the evenings the shooting was held disclosed Anand.
